Darlene Jang, AIA, Principal,
has over twenty-five years of experience in the art facilities,
educational, and housing projects. She is a graduate of the
University of California. She co-founded
Barcelon & Jang as a firm noted for innovative designs with
often complex programs and challenging spatial constraints. Her
design work includes new construction, renovations, and adaptive
reuse of historical buildings. She has been Design Principal
of her award-winning firm focusing on museums, supportive housing,
and educational projects. She supports participatory design
process where neighborhood groups, local residents, parents and
children collaborate with the design team to contribute ideas
and develop design concepts. Her project experience includes
the San Luis Obispo Art Center, City College of San Francisco
projects, Ambassador Hotel Social Service Network Services Center,
San Francisco, and the Costano Gymnasium Classroom Building,
East Palo Alto, CA.
