The new Costano Gymnasium Classroom building serves the recreational, classroom and community spaces for youth and neighbors in East Palo Alto.  The community and school district worked with the Architects in developing the definitive program and space allocation.  The designed gymnasium serves as a multi-purpose assembly space for school activities, graduations, and community functions.  The gymnasium has a regulation sized high school basketball court, accessible stage, community kitchen and servery.  The canopy entry and lobby adjoin the academic wing which expands to four new instructional classrooms and a state-of-the-art computer classroom.
