Dignity
Housing West II/ Harp Plaza
Oakland, CA
Dignity Housing offers new apartment housing for low-income
families, with a special emphasis on homeless and formerly
homeless residents. The non-profit housing developer,
Dignity Housing West, was founded in 1989 to develop service-enriched
housing for the homeless population of Alameda County. The
project includes a multi-use day care facility, on-site counseling
offices, and a landscaped courtyard over a parking garage. The
development consists of 20 units of two & three bedroom
flats and townhouse units, with 80% of the apartments fully
ADA accessible. The design of the project encourages
a sense of community while preserving the privacy of individual
residential spaces. Financing is from the City of Oakland,
low income tax credits, and private lenders and investors. |
